Why Is The Sky Blue?

The sky is blue due to Rayleigh scattering.White light is a mixture of colours of the rainbow. The colours have different wavelengths. The sky appears a little pale since blue light must pass through the air.As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longest wave lengths pass through. So,whenever you look at the sky the scattered blue light reaches you.
